Carol & Ernie were invited to go to the Lincolnshire Show on 21st June to receive an award from Lincolnshire County Council for the Couple of the Year Good Citizen Award 2018, they were very honoured to do so.
Once again the group is having an away day, this time not too far away to the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park. We were lucky with the weather, it was warm and sunny. We saw the Majestic Bengal Tigers and the cute Meerkats and lots of Parrots. Everyone enjoyed the day, now waiting for our next trip …
Only 2 days after our weekend away we held our now annual Tea Dance at Coronation Hall at Woodhall Spa. East Lindsey Heart Support Group were chosen as Community Champions at the Louth Branch of the Lincolnshire Co op. On Tuesday the 6th February some of the committee went along to receive a cheque for £684.40, thank you to the Lincolnshire Co op and all the members who contributed to this.
As part of trying to keep people healthy the Heart Support Group produces a walking book containing 25 easy walks around the East Lindsey Area. We have just reached a milestone and have given away our 1,000th copy of the book. We are here handing over some extra books to Sutton On Sea Community Library.
Walk leaders of our walking group attended the Co-op Walking for Health Celebrations at Market Rasen Race Course on the 22nd September. A lovely day which included walks, lunch and the awards.
